Two Week Catch Up

So...I haven't posted in two weeks.  We've been busy.  Let's see...

We had basketball practices the week after Thanksgiving.  There was choir practice and church.  There was a band concert to attend to hear some friends play Christmas music.  (Great job, Lighthouse Bands!)

Then there was the Friday I took my co-op class (3, 4 and 5 yr olds) to see a short version of The*Nutcracker.  It was a fun field trip.  One of the 3 yr olds is convinced there was a pirate.  No one can convince her that was a toy soldier. :)  The kids enjoyed seeing the dancers.  They even got to learn a few of the dance moves at the end of the program.

My five sweet students with The*Mouse.  They got their photo taken with most of the dancers.

The next day was our town Christmas parade.  Unfortunately, the rain kept our children from particpating.  But they did sing with the church children's choir at the Armory after the parade.  It was a fun experience for them.

"We will follow, follow the star..."

After more basketball practices, Dad and Mom went to a movie (The*Blind*Side is very good!) and to our Sunday School class Christmas party.

Sunday morning the choir sang for all three services at church.  More fun times.

Can you find our four singing Follow the Star?

That afternoon H's Sunday School teacher had a Christmas party at her house for her group of girls...14 of them were there.  It was a fun time of Christmas crafts, decorating cookies, playing games and of course, eating!  I stayed and helped along with one other mom.  Those girls kept us moving.

Monday morning we baked our gingerbread house (singular, not plural as originally planned).  Wednesday we assembled the house.  They started decorating it Thursday.  It's still "in progress".

We had our Christmas party at co-op Friday.  It was a fun time of sharing Christmas treats.  My students made ornaments for their family.

Tomorrow begins another week and the calendar is full again.  Lots of fun Christmas memories waiting to be made.  Stayed tuned for photos and details...
