Christmas with Grammy

Grammy is going home tomorrow so we celebrated Christmas with her this evening.  After a yummy dinner of Chicken Fried Steak (my Christmas present), mashed potatoes and corn, we opened gifts.

C was first to open her box from Grammy.  She was excited to find a bracelet, necklace and jeans.  Funny how things can be purchased with them there and they have no idea.

H was delighted to find the sweater and hat she wanted at the mall this past weekend.

Things come in twos for twins and tonight was no different.  E received a matching necklace, bracelet and jeans.  Smiles everywhere!

B got the big surprise of the evening.  Everyone knew he was receiving this guitar except for him!  He was thrilled if you can't tell from the look on his face.

Grammy also gave all the kids their own calendar.  Now everyone can keep their important dates on their calendar and leave Mom's alone. :)

We gave Grammy a necklace made by women in Uganda.  It is recycled paper that they have rolled into beads and strung together.  It's very pretty.  I'm sure Grammy will get lots of use from it.  H and E picked it out for her.  H also made her a candy cane Christmas tree ornament.

We're so glad Grammy was here to see the kids in their Christmas program and to share some of Christmas time with us!

Merry Christmas, Grammy!
Now you can go back to Texas to see our cousins for Christmas.

Ummm, so glad we decided on something else for Grammy as we also had some Ugandan beads to give as gifts this year. Great minds think alike, I suppose!

Merry Christmas!
