My piano students performed a Christmas recital at a local nursing center last Monday. Naturally, my own children were included. It was a good experience for everyone. For many of them, it was their first time to play for an audience other than their family. The residents really enjoyed it too. It was a nice way to spread some holiday spirit.
This is C after the recital. Another mom took photos for me. Since C was first, we didn't have our "groove" going yet of photo taking. She was just as cute during the real thing!
E was very excited about playing. She almost ran to the piano when it was her turn. She sat there like she's been doing it her entire life (all 4 1/2 years of it)!
I played some duets with B. He has been playing Christmas music all year so he had quite a selection for our enjoyment.
MIss H memorized all three of her pieces. Everything came together perfectly for the recital.
