Well, Farmer Johnson's is history. Tuesday morning around 8 o'clock the driver of a semi-truck feel asleep as he got to the top of the hill where Farmer Johnson's sits. Instead of turning with the curve, he ran into the restaurant! The piece of wood and tarp are covering the hole in the building.
The restaurant had stopped serving breakfast a few weeks before the accident. No one was in the dining room where the truck stopped but there were employees in the kitchen. Thankfully, no one in the kitchen was injured. The truck driver was taken to the hospital but it was not life threatening.
And so it's the end of good eatin' in Youngsville as we knew it. No more banana puddin', strawberry shortcake, apple cobbler, peach cobbler...we will miss it!
Good bye, Farmer Johnson's!
