Friday, August 8
12:00pm - Drop off kids at Herbert Home, drive through Wendy's, eat in van (yes! He let us eat in the van...no kids)
1:00pm - meet lady at boat ramp to rent jet skis, sign more paperwork than required at a house closing (she is NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANYTHING!!)
1:20-2:30pm - ride jet skis all over Falls Lake - FUN! FUN! FUN! 50 mph over smooth water in sunshine with no one else around to get in our way
3:00pm - pick up kids and Miss Amanda, drive home, shower, dress for dinner, kiss kids good night
4:30pm - stop by store to order eye glasses for Mom (first time without kids so I'd have time to think about my choice)
5:30pm - pick up Roy and Vivian
6:00pm - dinner at Moe's Diner in downtown Raleigh - oh my goodness!! What delicious food!! It took us 3 hours to finish the meal. Don't go if you're in a hurry. But if you have 3 hours, it's soooooooo worth it!! They will sing "Happy Birthday" to you if someone in your party "tells".
10:00pm - drive home after visiting with Roy and Vivian a while at their home
10:30pm - drive Miss Amanda home while Dad stays with kids
11:00pm - crash in bed exhausted but happy
Saturday, August 9
sleep late, eat breakfast, kids tell Mom to leave the house but Mom goes upstairs to Hannah's bed, finishes Bible study then takes a nap, wakes up and it's lunch time
Do absolutely nothing of significance after being told "don't look in the refrigerator and if you do, don't look on the 3rd shelf at what's in the green container". Okay, the green container has a CLEAR lid. If I'm going to feed my family, I have to look in the frig...you get the picture...but it's still a surprise!
