Summer is Flying!

We are still here! We've been very busy the past two weeks. Hannah went to Science Camp last week every morning at our library. It was sponsored by GlaxoSmithKline, and Morehead Planetarium and Science Center/UNC-Chapel Hill. She learned lots about DNA. The other three were just excited to be able to go to the library EVERY DAY to check out new books!

Thursday evening we all headed to Dairy Queen. Hannah and Brock quoted 14 virtue definitions, the verse and address for each virtue by memory. They got to order whatever they wanted at DQ. Brock got the Oreo Earthquake and Hannah got a large ice cream cone with sprinkles. The twins were just happy to have older siblings who did something awesome so they could have ice cream too.

Friday, Saturday and Sunday, Brent took each kid one at a time on a "date" with him. Every time they ended up at McD's for an ice cream sundae. I think he was tired of ice cream by Sunday afternoon (believe it or not!).

This week all 4 kids have been going to a nearby church for VBS every evening. The Outrigger Island theme has been fun while they've learned their Bible stories. With the late nights they have all been sleeping until almost 9am. It has worked this week but I think I'll keep our regular schedule. It makes for happier and not so sleepy (and fussy) kids during the day.

I'll try to post some photos this weekend.
