What Do We Want for Graduation?

Our ears pierced!

And so Mom made an appointment at the doctor's office, who just happens to have a very nice nurse named Mrs. Wilson - who just happens to be B's Sunday School teacher, where they will pierce ears.

C was first on the table.  She was not sure what to expect even though I had tried to explain it to her numerous times.  She was brave and did not cry once we got started.  (It helped that the week prior she had her tubes taken out of her ear canal so she had experience in being a big girl!)

The ear ring got "stuck" in the "gun" so Mrs. Wilson had to run for help from another nurse.  C remained calm the entire time.  It was good that her brother was being silly and taking her photo.  Mom was left "holding the gun" for a few seconds until help arrived.

 Success!

Now it's E's turn.  Miss C is holding the mirror for E to see the "dots" marked for the ear rings.

With a different piercing gun, there were no more problems with the ear rings.  E was brave through it all too.

However, E felt some discomfort with the second ear and required some candy therapy from Mom - who was prepared in the event of crying.  Plenty of candy had been stashed in my purse for the occasion.

Yippee!!  We're all done!!
