H and B participated in the Lighthouse Spelling Bee today.
It was a good experience for both of them. I did not help them with the word list. It was their responsibility to be ready for the event. They did a great job!
B was one of about ten second graders participating.
B won 2nd place.
H participated with the fourth graders. It took a while to narrow down the playing field with all the great spellers but she ended up with...
1st place!
H also placed 2nd in the written part of the competition.
They both learned that they could prepare for something without Mom helping them.
Way to go, H and B!!
