The Big Day!
Take off for Ethiopia!
We arrived at the airport just after 8am. It didn't take us long to get checked in and through security.
By the time we got to the gate, our team was already there as they had flown in that morning.
Emily went with me last year and was ready to go back. Kim and her son, Ethan, joined us (that's them on the row behind us). Jimmy joined us from California. He slept most the flight after arriving on the red eye flight so no photos of him on the flight.
We didn't sleep much on the flight. I kept peeking out the window and really enjoyed this view as long as it lasted.

Someone is excited!
We landed in Addis just after 7am 18Jul. We got our visas and made it through customs/immigration without too much excitement.
Tekabe and Gecho were waiting for us along with Temeche and the two boys Kim's family sponsors. I was so busy hugging and introducing that I didn't take any photos. Brock and Temeche were excited to meet each other for the first time!
