Nicaragua Update / Baby Ava Update

Directly from Heather's blog...

Got a phone call from Shawn last night. He sounded tired but good.It is much hotter in Nicaragua than it has been in the past. Shawn said he has to drink a bottle of water every thirty minutes just to stay hydrated. The work is going well, and thanks to Tyler (who is a culinary genius apparently) they had a nice meal last night. The pastors of the churches are also fishermen to make money for their families. The guys bought all of their red snapper (yum..one of my faves) yesterday. Tyler cooked it up complete with a mango salsa and Shawn said it was AMAZING. Way to go, Tyler!! All the other meals are beans and rice, so I'm sure some fish was nice diversion. Shawn, Derek and Guillermo (the Chosen Children rep.) had the opportunity to meet with 12 pastors in the area and teach them about leadership in the church. Shawn said that was a really cool experience.Prayer requests for the rest of the week: That the guys stay hydrated. Finishing up the work on the Mission House on the Bible Institute Classroom and parking area. They are going into a new area today to see if CCM can expand their ministry there. Pray for open hearts and for CCM to find favor with the people of that area.

Personal: I have an ultrasound tomorrow to check the baby's growth and fluid levels. Dr. E does not like how my blood pressure is acting and is preparing me for an early delivery. Please pray that Baby Ava can stay in utero for a couple of more weeks at least and most of all not a delivery before Saturday at 4:30!!! (when Shawn gets home:))
